Are you afraid of spoilers? When a movie you really want to see comes out, do you go online to find out all you can about the movie or do you avoid everything so as not to spoil the movie?
Are you like that in life?
If you are, I need to burst your bubble. Not about a movie but about your life.
As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, we win in the end.
This has tremendous meaning and can impact your life in a couple of major ways.
Why It Matters For The Future
Knowing that in the end, believers win is important because it reminds us that on the cross, Jesus finished the work that He was sent to earth to do.
He lived a perfect life, something that we couldn’t do so that He could die the death we all deserved.
Isaiah 53:5 should give us comfort and encouragement.
But He [Jesus] was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds, we are healed.
We are reconciled to God and are now a part of His family. So no matter what happens in this life, we will win in the end and be with Him in heaven for eternity.
Why It Matters Now
Often we seek to be safe and secure rather than doing what we are called or made to do.
When we listen to our life, we can hear a voice or see a theme running through it. Those moments when we come fully alive doing or speaking about certain things.
We all have talents that need to be used, for the glory of God.
As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “No work is insignificant.”
If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, ‘Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.
No work is insignificant. All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.

We all need to pause, listen to our lives and hear what we are called to do. Do not worry how you will do it.
Take the time to find out what that calling is.
Trust that God Himself will provide all you need, according to His riches in Christ Jesus (See Philippians 4:19).
This doesn’t mean that you are to be financially reckless.
1 Timothy 5:8 tells us “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
I am convinced that when Paul told those in Ephesus “to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called” he meant not only the calling to faith but also to the calling on your life to use your talents.
An Abundant Life
Jesus came to save our souls and restore our relationship with God. He also came to bring us an abundant life (See John 10:10).
We are warned by Jesus that in this life we will have trouble but then comforted us with the knowledge that He will be with us.
If we win in the end and Jesus is with us now, why not live fully in Him and what He has gifted us in?
For most people, it’s fear.
Fear keeps people from fully trusting in God to provide.
We fear losing the lifestyle that we have grown accustomed to (which for most Americans means living above our means).
We fear what family or friends will say.
We fear what society will say.
We fear we won’t be able to figure out how to do it (technology or regulations getting in the way).
Remember Psalm 23. The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need.
When you step out in faith to follow Jesus, it will be the greatest adventure you can imagine.
When you follow what God is calling for you to do, and what He has equipped you to do, you will live a life that is more abundant and satisfying than you can possibly imagine.
